On Thursday, October 2, 2025, nine members of Newport participated in a graffiti removal volunteer activity in Shibuya Ward, organized by RakuSapo (General Incorporated Association CREAN & ART).
Before starting, our staff received hands-on instruction from the Rakusapo team — learning how to remove graffiti properly, as well as which types of graffiti can and cannot be erased. Once the briefing was over, we got to work!

Some graffiti proved stubborn and difficult to remove, requiring patience and persistence. However, as the once-dirty walls gradually returned to their original appearance, we all felt a strong sense of accomplishment.
During the activity, local residents stopped by to thank us, saying things like, “It looks so much better now!” and, “Thank you!” — reminders of how meaningful it is to take part in efforts that make our communities better places to live.
Though the activity lasted only a short time, it was an incredibly fulfilling volunteer experience. Newport will continue to actively participate in volunteer activities that contribute to our local communities.
